Classic Hikes of the World

May 13: Minneapolis - Join me and Minnesota Public Radio host Kerri Miller for an hour long conversation about hiking and back-country travel, focusing on the best places to go and how backpacking in the wilderness can enhance and even change one's life.

Aug 10: Banff, Alberta - Come hike with author Peter Potterfield on CMH Summer Adventures' famed Lodge to Lodge heli-hiking adventure at Bobbie Burns Lodge and Bugaboo Lodge. Peter will give two slide shows and answer questions about gear and technique, and each day will hike with lodge guests with helicopter support. Starts August 10, and concludes on Aug 17, come for the whole week or just for three days.

Apr 15: New York City - Come to the legendary Explorers Club of New York for a lecture and slide show by Peter Potterfield featuring some of his favorite routes from his iconic books, Classic Hikes of the World, and Classic Hikes of North America. Preceded by a reception, and followed by a book signing and question and answer period.

Dec 12: Seattle - Elliott Bay Books, Seattle: Peter Potterfield presents a slide show featuring his favorite backcountry routes at 7 p.m., followed by a question & answer session and booksigning.
